Student Technical Activity Club (STAC) is the student driven and faculty guided initiative for the students of Ajeenkya DY Patil University to experience the concept of “DO ENGINEERING”. The Club was founded in August 2017 under the mentorship of Dr. Biswajeet Champaty with the aim of being the first club for the tech enthusiasts. The club provides an apposite platform to develop early abilities in identifying socio-scientific issues, formulating feasible technical solutions to it and realizing through technovation. All the members gain experience working in multi-disciplinary teams. Each team identifies one real-world problem through brain storming;, formulate and developed a feasible, imaginative and innovative design solution; and foster the conceptual design to product development. Currently, the club consists of 20 members working on 5 thrust areas, namely, Robotics & Automation, IoT, Mobile App Development, Assistive Technology and Smart systems. Besides shaping crazy dreams to enabled reality, the team organizes workshops for their fellow students and technical outreach programs. Team STAC has represented Ajeenkya DY Patil University in various National Level Competition and waved their flag as an unbeatable team bagging 5 Gold, 3 Silver and 2 Bronze victories in various Technical Fests conducted at leading institutions like BITS Hyderabad, BITS Goa, Cummins College of Engineering, Army Institute of Technology. We believe in PBL i.e. Project Based Learning and thus keeping the motto in mind : we thrive to do our best in innovating a quantum better experience in field of science and technology. This year, STAC has broadened its thrust areas and inviting students with interest in Artificial Intelligence, 3D printing technology, Photography/ Videography, Blogging and Web Development.
